Suspected Meth Lab In Murphys

Murphys, CA– The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit investigated a possible methamphetamine production lab in Murphys this week.


According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspected lab was located Tuesday in the garage of a residence on Dogwood Drive. Numerous chemicals and other evidence commonly associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine were seized.


The Calaveras County Hazardous Material Team was utilized to safely collect and analyze the chemicals. The Ebbetts Pass Fire Department was also on scene for emergency standby.


No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
