Calaveras Supervisors To Discuss Ag Land

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors will take up the issue of Williamson Act funding today.

The Supervisors will hold a study session on Senate Bill 863, which authorizes counties to reduce Williamson Act contracts from the current 10 years to nine. It also effectively reduces the amount Williamson Act benefits for ag land owners. It is unknown if any action will be taken.

The Supervisors will also meet in closed session today to talk about the open Planning Director Position, after George White recently announced his resignation. The Supervisors will meet at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
