TUD Flushing In Sonora And Columbia

Sonora, CA–  This week T.U.D. will be flushing water distribution lines in Sonora and Columbia.

Monday, January 24th, workers will be along sections of Barretta, Hospital Road, Nevada, Oregon and South Washington Streets. In Columbia, T.U.D will be at Italian Bar Road, School Street, Jackson Street and parts of Parrotts Ferry Road.

Flushing will take place between the hours of 8am to 3pm, and customers should not be alarmed by fluctuations in the water pressure. The reason for the flushing is to clear out any sediment or minerals that may accumulate in pipes on an annual basis.

Now until March, T.U.D maintenance crews will flush a specific area in the county each week.
