Chinese Camp Chase Arrest

Chinese Camp, CA – A Chinese Camp man was arrested after leading deputies on a brief chase.


The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that 25-year-old Jesse Penrose was heading west on Red Hills Road at a high rate of speed during the seven o’clock hour last night. Deputies briefly chased Penrose’s vehicle, and he eventually turned into a driveway in the 13000 block of Red Hills Road. His pickup went off the road and crashed into a fence.


Penrose was charged with driving under the influence and evading a peace officer. He was taken to Tuolumne County Jail.
