Three Calaveras Residents Injured In Accident

San Andreas, CA– Three Calaveras County residents were injured in vehicle accident this morning on Highway 49 and South Treat Avenue in San Andreas.


According to the CHP, at around 11:00 am, 49-year-old Cynthia Lopez of Angels Camp was driving her 2008 Ford Escape when her car was hit from behind by a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by Laurie Contreras.


38-year-old Contreras of Mountain Ranch reportedly did not slow down in enough time to avoid a collision. She sustained minor injuries as did her passenger 14-year-old David Strahorn of San Andreas. Lopez received moderate injuries. All were transported to Mark Twain Regional Hospital.
