Scam Alert: Fake Water District Employee

San Andreas, CA – Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) has issued a scam alert. Someone posing as a CCWD employee asked people in the Jenny Lind area if they could check their water pressure. The statement about the incident was issued today.

The report states, “Over the weekend The District was alerted that someone is posing as a CCWD Employee and asking to check customer’s water pressure in the Jenny Lind area.” The district says that the suspect was not an employee of the Calaveras County Water District.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s department has been notified. CCWD and the Sheriff’s department say if you see suspicious activity call the Sheriff Department at (209) 754-6500.
