Nearly $18,000 Raised For Interfaith

Sonora, CA — Clarke Broadcasting’s 3rd annual Santa Fly-In Cash Drive for Interfaith raised nearly $18,000.

Additional donations were given Saturday morning during the Fly-In festivities at Standard Park. Money was also pledged during the Star 92.7 and 93.5 KKBN morning shows on Thursday and Friday. The total amount currently sits at $17,565, but more money is expected to trickle in during the days to come.  Interfaith Social Services Director Cathie Peacock says she was very thankful for the outpouring of support from the community. The money will be used to purchase food, clothing and other items for families in need throughout the county.

In addition, over 1,000 coats were dropped off at Standard Field and 15 cases of food. There was also a chance Saturday for the kids to meet Ole’ Saint Nick. Click on the video to watch Santa’s arrival.
