Highway 49 Rollover Accident

A Calaveras County man had only minor injuries from a rollover accident last night on Highway 49.


The CHP reports that 21-year-old Ryan Escalante of Valley Springs was driving north of Gold Rush Lane when he lost control of his Ford Focus going into a turn. Escalante slid off the roadway and slammed into an embankment. The car was flipped onto its roof and came to a stop partially blocking the northbound lane of Highway 49. He was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital to treat minor injuries. The accident happened at 10:15pm.
