Olsen Reelected Into State Assembly

Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen was reelected to a second term to represent the people of the 25th District in the California State Assembly.

Olsen was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

With redistricting however, Olsen will no longer represent the Mother Lode. The 25th is mostly made up of Stanislaus County and does not extend into the Sierra foothills.

“I know the issues that Tuolumne and Calaveras county are facing and I will continue to be a voice for the Gold Country,” said Olsen.

Olsen recently hosted a “Save the State Parks” campaign in the Mother Lode and has worked closely with the TuCare organization in hosting their annual Natural Resourse Summits at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.

Although Democrats will have a “super majority” in both the State Senate and Assembly, Olsen will continue to champion Republican views and “what we feel is a better way for the people and the future of California.”

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45am.
