Bike Rider Arrested

Jamestown, CA — A man was pulled over at 2:45am for riding a bicycle without lighting or reflectors, and he now faces theft and drug charges.


The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that 45-year-old Robert Leroy Kurts was riding in the area of Main Street and Seco Street in downtown Jamestown. Kurts was carrying three backpacks, and inside a deputy found marijuana, two glass meth pipes, a hypodermic needle, a stolen prescription medication, two stolen credit cards, and three stolen cell phones.


Kurts was already on parole. He was booked into Tuolumne County Jail.
