Fatal Jamestown Accident

The CHP is investigating another fatal car versus pedestrian accident.


It happened Saturday at 6:35pm near the intersection of Highway 49 and Main Street near downtown Jamestown. The CHP reports that a 23-year-old Jamestown man was hit by a Chevy Malibu driven by 41-year-old Brandon Freemyer of Jamestown. Both the car and the victim were traveling northbound. The CHP reports that the accident remains under investigation. No further information is immediately available. The name of the man has not been released because authorities are still in the process of contacting family members.


On Friday, 27-year-old Amy Wayne of Sonora was also hit and killed while jogging along Jamestown Road.
