New Ballot Drop Box

Sonora, CA – Not only can you vote in person at the Tuolumne County Election Office in Sonora and by mail, but now you can use a drop box to cast your ballot for the November 6th election. This is the very first time a voting drop box will be up at the Tuolumne County Library on Greenley Road starting Monday, October 15th.

Tuolumne County’s Elections Official Debi Russell-Bautista says, “If voters don’t want to come into Sonora or they don’t want to put their ballot through the post office they can drop it in the box and we’ll be picking them up on a daily basis from the library.”

70 percent of the Tuolumne County electorate chooses to vote-by-mail.

There will be several issues up for vote in November, including county supervisor, school board and water district races. There will also be local and state ballot measures as well as the presidential race.
