Sonora Homecoming Celebrations

Sonora, CA– The streets of downtown Sonora came alive this afternoon with the Sonora High School Homecoming Parade.

Washington Street was closed to all traffic between Snell and Church Streets from 2:00-3:00 pm. Following the parade, the Golden Regiment Band performed in Courthouse Park for about 15 minutes.

This year it is the 30th Anniversary of the Golden Regiment. Golden Regiment Band Graduate, and Current Band teacher, Yvonne Denton hosted Golden Regiment founder and Band Director from 1983 to 2007, Pat Sieben at a reunion at 4pm today. For more details view the event listing here.

Sonora Union High School’s football team takes on Manteca High School for the Homecoming game. The game will air live on Star 92.7. Coverage will begin at around 6:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Summerville High versus Argonaut matchup will kick off live at 6:30 pm on 93.5 KKBN.
