Michel Fire Update

San Andres, CA — CAL Fire reports the Michel Fire is contained.

Calaveras County, CA — Crews battled the 23 acre blaze overnight. It started just after noon on Tuesday on the 5000 block of Michel Road and Mountain Ranch Road near San Andreas.

CAL Fire says the fire damaged only out buildings and luckily no homes. They say the flames damaged the deck of a house; one barn, and one pump house was completely destroyed.

Crews fought the flames from the ground and air with a helicopter, Air-Attack and a tanker.

CAL Fire says the flames started in some Timber Oak, but they are still investigating exactly what sparked the blaze.
