Highway 49 Grass Fire

San Andreas, CA — Firefighters extinguished a grass fire this morning along Highway 49 between Angels Camp and San Andreas.


It was caused by a bird flying into a power line. It burned approximately 1 ½ acres of grass. No homes or structures were damaged. Firefighters remain on scene for mop-up operations. To view a map of the area, click here.
