No Coaching Changes At Summerville For Now

Tuolumne County, CA – The Summerville Union High School Board had been reviewing making possible changes in qualifications for coaches, but decided to make another play at its meeting Wednesday.

Superintendant John Keiter says “The Board thought that we should go back and continues our work to develop a sports handbook, a coach’s handbook, one for students, coaches and parents.” He adds “The Board wants us to establish a vision for our athletic program and then bring that back to them and they can consider if they want to make any modifications to qualifications”

The board had been looking at whether to limiting the number of seasons and sports that one person could coach.

Keiter says they are still searching for an Athletic Director. He says they plan on making an announcement on that early next week.
