Tuolumne Road Drug Arrest

A routine traffic stop led to a drug arrest on Tuolumne Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reports that 59-year-old Donald Gene Taylor and 57-year-old Leona Mae Taylor were pulled over near Woodham Carne Road because their vehicle had an expired registration tag. It happened during the early morning hours over the weekend.


Inside the vehicle a deputy found .62 grams of heroin and a hypodermic needle. The two were arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail. They face charges related to both transporting and possessing a controlled substance.
