Tuolumne County Is “People’s Choice”

Sacramento, CA — The Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau has secured another honor at the 2012 California State Fair.

The Fair wrapped up yesterday in Sacramento, but not before it was announced that the county’s booth was awarded the prestigious “People’s Choice” award, among the various booths representing California’s counties.

“We are just thrilled,” says Nanci Sikes, Visitors Bureau Executive Director.

As reported previously, the TCVB also earned a Gold Ribbon for excellence in design and construction, and a Gold Ribbon for Best Visitor Experience. Marketing Manager Sandy Gordon was dressed as a “fortune Teller” holding a crystal ball as she walked judges through the exhibit. Gordon used the crystal ball to “look into the future” and see where in Tuolumne County the fair-goers were likely to visit. Many of Tuolumne County’s attractions, events and outdoor adventures were part of the booth’s “Carnival of Fun” which featured a fun house and other buildings with hands-on activities.
