Trinitas And Transit On Agenda

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors will go into closed session next week to talk about ongoing litigation related to the Trinitas project.

The golf course near Wallace has been at the center of controversy for several years. The county has long stated that the owners did not have the proper permits to begin construction, but went ahead anyway on the project. Michael and Michelle Nemee have contended that golf should qualify as agro-tourism, but a court recently ruled otherwise. The Nemee’s are appealing the most recent court ruling. It is noted that the property has already been foreclosed upon.

In other business, the county will talk about whether to amend rates for Calaveras County Transit. The Board is also scheduled to adopt a resolution recognizing Lisa Mayo of the Visitor’s Bureau for her 11 years of service.

Tuesday’s regular session meeting begins at 9am Tuesday in the Supervisors meeting room in San Andreas.
