Update: Vegetation Fire In Calaveras County

Update at 2:30 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff reports that when firefighters arrived at the property in the 4900 block of Blue Mountain Road near Ridge View Road, east of Wilseyville they were able to quickly extinguish the flames at a small 40 by 20 foot spot. She adds that no structures were threatened. All incoming resources have been called off the blaze and just one crew will remain on the scene mopping up for the next hour. Shoff relays that it is unclear whether a citation will be issued in this incident.

Original post at 2:15 p.m.: Wilseyville, CA — Firefighters are heading to a report of an escaped debris burn in the Calaveras County.

CAL Fire details that the fire is in the 4900 block of Blue Mountain Road near Ridge View Road, east of Wilseyville. There is no word on the size or the rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will have an update as soon as further details come into the newsroom.
