Busy Time For Habitat For Humanity

Sonora, CA — A lot is happening with Habitat For Humanity of Tuolumne County.

Executive Director Betsy Harden will be the guest on Mother Lode Views this weekend. Habitat for Humanity is in the process of constructing the 36-home Parrotts Ferry Village in Columbia. The first two townhomes were completed in April, and the next two should be done later this month.

Habitat For Humanity has been active in the county since 1999, but things really started to take off about five years ago when the group’s Board of Directors decided to hire full-time staff members to run the organization.

The group is also preparing for its annual Habitat House Party later this month at the Haughton residence in Confidence. This year’s event will feature a special guest, 3-time World Series winning manager Tony La Russa.
