Vehicle Goes Down Embankment

A man was injured when his vehicle went down a steep embankment near Arnold.

The CHP reports that 23-year-old Michael Stuth of Camp Connell was driving his 1999 Toyota on Sunday afternoon just west of the Golden Torch Drive intersection. The CHP reports that Stuth lost control going into a turn, overcorrected, and then crossed into the opposing traffic lane. Stuth subsequently plunged down a steep embankment and had to be assisted by emergency crews.

Stuth was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center to treat what were described as moderate injuries. He was later arrested for suspected DUI. The crash was reported at 2pm.
