Teleli Golf Club Opening This Month

Sonora, CA — Later this week there is an opportunity for the public to check out the Teleli Golf Club, which was formerly Mountain Springs.

We reported earlier that the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians purchased the course and decided to rename it. Teleli means “Black Oak” in the native Me-Wuk language.

The course has been closed since January 1st while the sale was being finalized, and renovations undertaken. The Tribe announces that the course will reopen on May 17. Prior to it, an open house is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 8, from 6-8pm. Representatives will be on hand to discuss changes at the property and share details about membership.

Sierra Golf Management has been hired to operate the club.

Mountain Springs Golf Club first opened in 1990. The 18-hole championship golf course is spread across 6,665 yards, and it includes a pro shop and practice facility.
