Memorial Weekend Wx: Thunder, Rain, Snow, Sun

Breezy and windy conditions will prevail today across the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada.

A cool low pressure system for this time of the year will affect the region by tonight and continue through Saturday.

Temperatures on Friday will be some fifteen to twenty degrees below normal.

This system will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday.

Several inches of snow accumulation is possible above 5500 feet.

Temperatures are expected to warm to near normal Sunday and a few degrees above normal on Memorial Day (Monday).
