Olsen To Chair Rural Caucus

Sacramento, CA — Assembly member Kristin Olsen will lead a legislative committee focused on rural issues.

Olsen, a Republican, was elected Chair of the Legislative Rural Caucus. The caucus was formed in 2003, and includes a bipartisan group lawmakers representing both the Senate and Assembly.

Olsen says she is honored to be selected. She adds, “The voice of California’s rural communities too often gets drowned out by the urban areas that tend to dominate budget and policy conversations in Sacramento.”

Santa Rosa Democrat Michael Allen was elected Vice-Chair.
Olsen’s Assembly District includes both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.
