Several TUD Applicants To Be Considered

Sonora, CA– Five Mother Lode residents have submitted their applications to be considered for a seat on the Tuolumne Utilities District Board of Directors.

The vacancy was created when Dr. Ralph Retherford recently announced his resignation after serving from 2001-2012. Retherford had been at odds with fellow board members regarding rate increases and cost cutting measures.

Applications include:

Dennis Dahlin, Sonora
James Grinnell, Sonora
John Maciel, Twain Harte
Dennis Spisak, Twain Harte
Carl Tucker, Sonora

Applicants must be a registered voter and reside within District boundaries. A special T.U.D. board meeting will be held on April 25th, beginning at 5:30pm, to interview applicants.

This seat and another, currently appointed to Ron Ringen, will be up for Tuolumne County residents to vote on in November. Whomever is selected will serve for about eight months.
