Discussion About AB-109

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors will vote on issues today related to the state’s AB-109 prisoner realignment program.

The county is being asked to take on new law enforcement responsibilities because of state budget cuts. This includes creating a Day-Use Reporting Center for Calaveras County residents that are on parole.

The Board will also hold a public hearing regarding proposed improvements to the Highway 12/26 intersection. To read an earlier article regarding this issue, click here. Today’s meeting begins at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
