Winter Storm Warning Issued For Sierra Nevada

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada from Monday 11 PM through Wednesday 5 AM.

The snow levels will range from 4000 through 7000 feet.


Four inches to three feet of snow accumulation is expected above 5000 feet through Friday.


Winds of twenty to forty mph are likely, with gusts up to seventy-five mph over the ridgetops.


A colder storm system is expected from Saturday through Monday. Snow levels will lower to 3000 feet.


A couple of feet of snow is expected in the higher elevations.


There is also a chance of thunderstorms on Sunday.
