Tuolumne County Receives Federal Health Care Funds

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County is receiving roughly $250K this year to implement preventative health care programs.

The funding is from President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, dubbed by many as “Obama Care.” The President’s health care program has been both criticized and praised nationally. Tuolumne County Health Officer Dr. Todd Stolp will talk programs being created in Tuolumne County on this weekend’s Mother Lode Views, and discuss aspects of the Affordable Care Act that have already been implemented.

Tuolumne County is expecting to receive similar type federal grants over the next several years to continue the preventative health care programs.
