Columbia Has New VP Of Student Learning

Columbia, CA — The Yosemite Community District Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Leslie Buckalew to serve as Columbia College’s Vice President of Student Learning.

As part of the position, Buckalew will be the Chief Instructional Officer, Chief Student Services Officer, and the Accreditation Liaison Officer. Most recently, Buckalew was an administrator at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, a graduate school at Middlebury College.

Columbia College President Dr. Dennis Gervin states, “Dr. Buckalew is an experienced educational leader, whose leadership style and passion to serve students is an exceptional fit for Columbia College. I am very proud to have her as part of our team.”

Buckalew starts the new position on February 1st. The previous VP of Student Learning was Gervin, who was recently promoted to President.
