Sierra Thunderstorms On Thursday & Friday

According to the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are possible today in the Sierra Nevada. The best chance will be during the afternoon and early evening.

A few storms will be possible again on Friday.

Lightning and heavy rain is possible with any storms. There will also be strong wind gusts possibly up to fifty mph in the vicinity of any storm.

If you have outdoor plans be prepared for thunderstorms. Campers, hikers and boaters should keep an eye on the sky and if threatening weather approaches seek safe shelter or harbor immediately.
