Two Arrested After Short Chase

Jamestown, CA — The CHP arrested two people in a stolen car after a short chase and the driver tried to run into a patrol car. It happened last night just after 9pm on Chicken Ranch Road and Table Mountain Road in Jamestown. The CHP reports an officer spotted a stolen 2000 Honda Civic driven by 29 year old Christopher James Souza of San Jose and tried to pull it over. Souza hit the gas and took off. He went about a mile before another CHP patrol car attempted to stop him. That is when the CHP says Souza tried to run into another patrol car, but failed.

The CHP reports Souza and his passenger 30 year-old Jenifer Kailine Reeder of San Jose were both arrested. Both were charged with several felony charges resulting from the stolen car. Souza also had 4 felony warrants out of Santa Clara County.
