Vehicle Fire Cost

Chinese Camp, CA — Cal Fire reports a commercial vehicle fire caused costly damage. The flames broke out yesterday around 3pm at the Sierra Pacific Industries Mill at 14333 Perricone Rd.

When crews arrived on the scene a bucket loader moving wood chips was in flames. They were able to put the fire out in minutes, but the loader was heavily damaged. Cal fire estimates that damage at about $20,000. Luckily, no one was injured and no structures were in danger. Cal Fire says the cause of the blaze is unknown.
