San Andreas, CA — A man was hurt in a vehicle accident on Highway 49 over the weekend.
46-year-old Mark Menchaca of Altaville was driving early Saturday morning near the Union Mine Road intersection. The CHP says Menchaca lost control of his 2000 Ford and drove off the Highway. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest on the western shoulder. He was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center to treat reported “major injuries.” Menchaca was also cited for DUI. The accident was reported at 1am.
