Ready To Camp?

Stanislaus National Forest, CA – Do you have your camper or tent ready for the big weekend? Just in time for the busy Memorial Weekend the Stanislaus National Forest is opening up 28 campgrounds and picnic areas. However, a number of the campgrounds at higher elevations will remain closed until all the snow melts. Forest Officials say all 53 developed campgrounds with 1,466 campsites should be open by mid-summer this year.

You can contact your local Ranger’s Station for current information on changing conditions, campfire permits, and the best places to camp. Also, campfire permits are required for campfires and barbeques outside developed campgrounds.
