Traffic Alert: Delays On Two Mother Lode Highways

Sonora, CA – Caltrans has revised this week’s scheduled road work to include two additional highways in the Mother Lode that will hinder traffic.

In Tuolumne County, two separate striping operations are underway on Highway 49. One is between the Mariposa/Tuolumne County lines and the Montezuma Road Railroad. The work begins at 5 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m. The other work area runs from Jack Page Road to the Tuolumne/Calaveras County lines. The hours of operation are from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Both jobs run through Friday.

In Calaveras County, along Highway 4 from Lashkoff Place to Strawberry Hill Road crew will be doing drainage work from 8:30 to 3 p.m. through Thursday.

Motorists can expect ten minute delays as all these locations will have flaggers directing one-way traffic control.
