Supervisors Will Debate Apartment Project

Columbia, CA — A debate over whether to allow an apartment project off Parrotts Ferry Road to move forward will play out Tuesday at the Board of Supervisors meeting.

The project would be spread over 5.3 acres at the northwest corner of the intersection of Union Hill Road and Parrotts Ferry Road. The proposal by Golden State Holdings calls for six buildings to house 80 units. In addition, there would be a clubhouse, swimming pool, detached vehicle garages, and covered carports. The project had a public hearing before the Tuolumne County Supervisors back on April 16th, and there was such interest that it was continued until tomorrow’s meeting. The public has a chance to weigh in during a special evening session that will start at 6:30pm in the Board meeting room.

The Board’s regular session will start at 9am on Tuesday. Highlights include whether to amend the contract with the Yosemite Gardens Park group related to the Jamestown Mine, as well as whether to approve amendments to the Kennedy Meadows agreement.
