Burn Hours Restricted

San Andreas, CA – You will no longer be able to burn during the day starting next week. Cal Fire will restrict burn hours beginning Monday at 8:00 AM. That restriction will be within State Responsibility Areas of Tuolumne and Calaveras regions. Outdoor burning will only be permitted between 7:00 PM and 8:00 AM with a valid burn permit on permissive burn days.

Cal Fire Officials say the cooler temperatures and higher humidity during evening hours will provide safer conditions for burning. You will only be allowed to burn clean, dry vegetation in a pile no larger than 4 feet by 4 feet. Also, you must watch the burn pile at all times even if you plan to burn overnight.

Cal Fire reminds residents it is your responsibility to find out if it is a burn day. To do that you can click on myMotherLode.com’s homepage or call the Air Pollution Control District at the numbers below.
