Tax Freedom Day 2013

Sonora, CA — Earlier this month, the Tax Foundation released its annual “Tax Freedom Day” report, which calculates how long it takes for Americans to work off their entire tax bill in each state. Local California Senator Tom Berryhill provided a blog that states in California, Tax Freedom Day is today, April 24th, this year.

Berryhill says, “You work 114 days to pay Uncle Sam and the Golden State to keep our schools, police, firefighters, hospitals, parks, roads, and prisons operating.”

More details about Tax Freedom Day and how California compares to other states are provided in Berryhill’s blog here.
