Yosemite Tour Bus Crash

Yosemite, CA — Several tourists were injured when a bus crashed over the weekend leaving Yosemite National Park.


The CHP reports that the crash was on Highway 41, about six miles outside Yosemite. The 16 people sustained minor to moderate injuries. The bus was traveling on a winding stretch of road, and the CHP says it was moving at a speed unsafe for the conditions. The two axel charter bus left the road and hit a tree. The accident was on Saturday at 6:15pm. The driver has been identified as 49-year-old Changefeng Liu of Fremont. He was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.


15 of the people injured were tourists, and one was a tour guide.
