Twin Brothers Arrested For Armed Robbery

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to an armed robbery at the Tower Gas Station off Highway 49 on Monday just after 10p.m. Deputies report the twins, wearing masks and, one armed with a baseball bat, robbed the clerk. They then took off on foot and disappeared into a field behind the store. Sheriff’s Officials say about $400 in cash and miscellaneous merchandise was stolen from the store.

An investigation led to two suspects, 18 year old twin brothers, Jamie and Justin Ritchie of San Andreas. On Wednesday, deputies searched their car and trailer at Gold Strike Mobile Home Park on 1900 block of Gold Strike Road. Inside both they found evidence of the robbery including the baseball bat.

The brothers were arrested and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of stolen property. Sheriff’s Officials say the case is still under investigation.
