Gas Prices Drop

Sonora, CA — The price to fill up the tank is dropping for the first time since late December.

The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices finds that the price of regular unleaded gasoline dropped six cents over the past two weeks. The national average is now $3.74. The nation’s lowest average price is $3.31 in Billings, Montana, and the highest is $4.23 in Los Angeles. In California, the lowest average for a large city is $4.02 in Sacramento.

The myMotherlode.com gas price section shows that regular unleaded is selling in Sonora from 3.91 to 4.15. In San Andreas, it is averaging around 4.09.

The price decline is attributed to a national drop in overall crude oil prices.
