Tuolumne County, CA — A sad update on a motorcycle accident that happened just before two this afternoon on Parrotts Ferry Road near Columbia. The CHP is reporting the driver of the motorcycle has died. The CHP says two motorcycles were traveling north on Parrotts Ferry when one lost control just before the Parrotts Ferry Bridge, went over the double yellow lines, smashed into a guardrail and was ejected from the bike.

The driver was taken by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center with major injuries. He died a short time later due to those injuries. The CHP is not releasing the driver’s name as they are still trying to notify his family.
