Carillo Selected As County Counsel

The Tuolumne County Supervisors have picked who will lead the County Counsel’s Office.

Following a closed session meeting yesterday, it was announced that Sarah Carrillo is the top pick. It was a 5-0 vote. Carrillo is currently serving as the county’s acting County Counsel. She is a 1995 Sonora High School graduate. You can read her full biography by clicking here.

“During the interview she showed clear signs of leadership, and had several good ideas about how to improve the performance of our County Counsel’s office, and streamline the operation,” said Randy Hanvelt, Board Chair. “After the interviews, she was the unanimous choice.”

Carrillo will take the position of Gregory Oliver. Her contract and salary will be approved at the March 5th meeting. Around 15 candidates applied for the position and the top three finalists were interviewed by the full Board of Supervisors.
