Albrecht Is “Logger Of The Year”

Sonora, CA — A Tuolumne County business leader has received notable recognition.

At the Sierra Cascade Logging Conference held this week up in Anderson, Mike Albrecht of Sierra Resource Management was given the “Logger of the Year” award. The event draws timber industry leaders from across California, and even Oregon, according to event officials. It is one of the most recognized logging industry organizations in the region.

Albrecht says he was, “surprised and humbled” to win the award. He says he will share the honor with his entire crew, business partner Stacey Dodge, and his wife Vicki.

Albrecht is the fourth Tuolumne County resident to receive the honor. The others have been Dick Pland, Joe Martin and Wilbur Black. This was the 64th year of the Sierra Cascade Logging Conference.
