Car Crash Highway 108

Tuolumne County, CA — There is a car crash on Highway 108 just west of O’Brynes Ferry Road near Jamestown.

The CHP says a person called 911 screaming about being trapped in the car. There are few details on what caused the accident. Emergency crews are on the way to the scene of the wreck. Motorist will want to drive with caution in the area. We will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

Update 5 p.m.: The CHP now reports the car went off the roadway on New Peoria Flat Road off of O’Brynes Ferry Road near Highway 108.  The person is trapped in the car.  The CHP says the Toyota Four Runner went off the roadway, rolled down an embankment 80 feet and landed on its side. Emergency crews are on the scene.

Update 5:15 p.m.: The CHP says the person has been extricated from the car.
