Winter Weather Expected By Friday

The National Weather Service says that the next pacific storm will reach central California Thursday afternoon, bringing a cold airmass to the region.

Snow levels from Thursday through Friday night will range from 2500 through 3500 feet.

Up to two inches of snow accumulation is expected above 2500 feet. Four to seven inches of snow is likely above 4000 feet.

On Friday afternoon, there will be a slight chance of thunderstorms in the Mother Lode. Heavy rain, small hail, gusty winds and possibly a funnel cloud could accompany any thunderstorms.
