Jamestown, CA — A nationwide retail store is planning to open in Tuolumne County.

Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority Director Larry Cope says Dollar General has submitted plans to build a store in Jamestown on Highway 108. It will be located next to the former Rawhide Saloon.

The proposed building will be 9,100 sq. ft. The 1.09 acre piece of property will include 40 parking spaces. The Tennessee based Dollar General has 10,000 stores across 40 states. They typically offer off-brand and discounted name brand merchandise.
