A Race To Shutdown Hwy 120

Jamestown, CA — No cars, but plenty of foot traffic will take over a section of Highway 120 in Tuolumne County. Caltrans will close Highway 120 from Sims Road to Highway 49 and the Montezuma Road intersection in Jamestown, but not for road repairs. Instead, the roadway will be closed for the 28th annual Sonora Sunshine Rotary Orient Express Run.

The run helps to raise money for the local Special Olympics. Runners will hit the street Saturday, February 2. The highway will be shut down from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Caltrans urges motorists to take an alternative route whenever possible.
