Motorist Delays In Sonora

Sonora, CA — Crews are in Tuolumne Coounty this week laying infrastructure for the CVIN broadband project.

In Downtown Sonora, crews are laying broadband cables on North Shepherd and Church Streets. To view a map of the area, click here. Once that is done, they will head to Shaws Flat Road and lay cables. To view map, click here.

Also in Tuolumne County, traffic will be slow going on O’Byrnes Ferry Road as it is down to one lane traffic as crews continue to put up steel piping along the bridge. To view a map, click here.

CVIN is asking motorists to drive with caution in the area as five to ten minute delays can be expected. The 18-county CVIN project was funded by the federal stimulus package in 2009. It is designed to increase the broadband infrastructure of the region.
